Born and raised in Mora, Minnesota, Josh grew up showing in speed and roping events. It wasn’t until his junior year at the University of River Falls, Wisconsin, that he was first introduced to the sport of reining by Larry Kasten. Upon graduating, together with his wife Carri, Josh took an opportunity in Oklahoma to work for Bob Loomis under the instruction of Duane Latimer. In the 5 years Josh worked for Loomis he acquired the foundation for a successful training and showing program.
In 2007 Josh and Carri had the opportunity to begin their own reining training, showing and breeding operation located at their home in Whitesboro, TX. In addition to his training program, Josh also serves as an NRHA Executive Board member and serves on several smaller committees within the NRHA.
"One of my futurity horses stopped eating his grain. We started him on Platinum Gastric Support, and he started eating his grain again the very next day. I firmly believe in this product and that it was key in his first futurity win! Thank you Platinum Performance for making such an affordable product that WORKS!!!"
