In a university study, percentages of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in red blood cell membranes from 5 horses were compared before and after 6 weeks of supplementation with Platinum Performance® Equine. Supplementation increased the amount of omega-3 fatty acids in the cell membranes by 78%, causing a 40% decrease in the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids.
