Tips for Traveling
Help your horse cope with the stress of traveling
- Never transport a sick horse or one exposed to sickness long distances.
- Supplement with an immune support formula a few days before travel.
- Try to travel less than 12 hours at a time.
- If possible, stop every 3 to 4 hours to offer rest — unload and allow the horse to briefly graze. If not, just stopping is beneficial to the horse, as he won’t be forced to counter the movement of the trailer.
